Ann Haaland was born in 1958. A graduate of the Fine Arts program at the State University of New York at Oneonta, and an alumna of the Woodstock School of Art, she has been making art since the late 70’s, with her most important works evolving over the last three years. She is a previous artist in residence at the renowned Vermont Studio Center, and the recipient of the 2002 Lucille Blanche Award from the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum.
 
While having explored mixed media and such mediums as encaustic painting, printmaking, and photography. Ms. Haaland works primarily in oil, concentrating on personal themes, nature and spirituality. She resides in the Hudson Valley of New York State.
